Contemplating My Impact

Last week I was sent the following picture via text message by my eighth grade girlfriend Megan who currently resides in Spring Lake, Michigan

and then the very next day I received the little gem underneath these words straight from Texas courtesy of my lovely Chicago wife Laura

and the day after that my brill and gorg NYU roommate Danielle sent the pic and note below from her Upper East Side apartment in the Big Apple

and I've thought a bit about it and I've come to accept that when I'm gone eight to ten years from now because of a plane crash or a severe Dolores Park sunburn, as far as personal legacies go, one could do worse than be remembered for obsessing about books, fries and thumb-hole hoodies.
