Nine Things From Day Three in New York

Ignoring the fact that it should've been posted yesterday but wasn't because I stayed out too late socializing in the Village last night, a list of activities that were completed on the third day of our New York City vacation can be found in its entirety beneath these words.

  • ate a bacon frittata and drank two mimosas at Joe Allen near the Theater District with B, Sid, Kimberly (who B first met quite some time ago when she was a teaching assistant for one of his freshman classes at Berkeley) and her sister Tracy (who works for World News Tonight)

  • crammed into a dressing room at the H&M in Columbus Circle with B, Danielle and Sid to assist Sid in picking out a gray hooded sweatshirt

  • dined at El Mitote on the Upper West Side again because the food's totally amazenuts and also because $6 margs in a mason jar, bish

  • bought cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery and then ate them

  • walked into Cubbyhole in the West Village to urinate and saw a promotional poster for the upcoming ABC series When We Rise based on Cleve Jones' book of the same name hanging above the toilet

  • grabbed two-for-one vodka drinks at the Stonewall Inn with Danielle and sat cross-legged on the floor of the bar to pet a service dog whose person was there to sing karaoke

  • dunked avocado tempura fries into chipotle dipping sauce (yes it was just as dreamy as it sounds) and then consumed more dreamy food and also some dreamy wine at Greenwich Project in the Village with my college pals Alex and Danielle

  • sipped beers while seated at a back table at Julius', New York City's oldest gay bar, with my college pals Alex and Danielle

  • bought junk food from a CVS near campus and mowed through most of it while having a midnight Dear Evan Hansen sing-a-long with B and Sid
