PBS aired a documentary about Hamilton on Friday night and then stuck it up on the World Wide Web for all to stream and that's how I spent an hour and twenty-two minutes of my afternoon today. Hamilton's America is the name of said documentary and it's mostly about the creation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway show with a little bit of history about the founding of the United States sprinkled in. It also features a bunch of footage of the original cast performing songs, which is, without a doubt, the raddest part because I've been shower-singing the soundtrack for the better part of a year now and I haven't had the opportunity to see the show in person yet.

On a somewhat related note, I've been on a bit of a Hamilton hiatus as of late because I've been spending quality time with the Waitress soundtrack. It's been playing on a loop since I saw the show in New York a few weeks ago. Sara Bareilles wrote the music and the lyrics and every song is totally lovely. "She Used to Be Mine" is my new fave as of this morning's shower.
