Kari stopped by after work tonight and together we traveled on the N-Judah (see photo above) to The Eureka Theater for an all-music themed version of Mortified. The aptly-named show was part of SF Sketchfest 2015 and consisted of a handful of adults standing on a stage in front of two hundred strangers and reading aloud diary entries, letters, lyrics, poems and the like that they wrote when they were nineteen years old or younger. Because I just now arrived home and have yet to answer the discussion questions for class tomorrow, I'm gonna save the finer details of tonight's show for another time, but I will say before I go that I laughed so damn much and am both sad but of glad to report that brave and creative and hilarious and talented people who suffered through many, many truly awkward teenage experiences are not in short supply.
