Shutting Up the World

I cashed in a serious stash of Reward Zone points a few months back in exchange for a lavish pair of noise-canceling headphones. Although the procurement probably wouldn't have happened if I wasn't sitting on a massive heap of Best Buy booty from the purchase of a dozen flatscreen TVs for work with my personal credit card, I will admit that the headphones are, in a word, dope, in large part because they perform very well the oftentimes essential function of shutting up the world.

In the months since the Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones entered my life I have spent an inordinate amount of hours lying in bed with my eyes on the ceiling and my ears tuned to various Pandora, Spotify and Vevo stations whilst feeling feelings. As of this moment my favorite song to feel to with the headphones shutting up the world is this Kings of Leon cover of Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" from Lallapalooza 2014, which also happens to be, in a word, dope.
