Dolores Park at Sunset

After a long, slow jog through the Panhandle earlier this evening, I stopped home to stretch my legs and to retrieve my phone before continuing on to Dolores Park for the sunset. I arrived just as the lights were flickering to life above the tennis courts and the pre-dusk calm was beginning to settle over the sloping acres of matted grass. I believe it to be a wondrous time of the day to visit Dolores, if you aren't the type to be bothered by the lingering stench of marijuana smoke or the rusty scrape of shopping cart wheels, for there's an unmistakable sense of danger, walking those forever-slick hills in the near-darkness.
